The Killdeer is meadeeum - brown black.It lives open ground - fields - pashteres and marshes.They eat small insects and seeds.The nest is on the ground. IT is 8-11 inches big.Sometimes it drags its wing on the ground to pretend it to be hurt.The mother will fly up into the sky call her name over and over.The chicks will follow thier mother.
